The ADS-B network is not responding, so this page found nothing — that is a fault at our end and says nothing about how many Spirit Airlines aircraft are flying. It normally clears within a few minutes.
How this page finds Spirit Airlines aircraft
There is no way to ask the ADS-B network for “every Spirit Airlines aircraft” — the network reports by position, not by operator. So this page looks around the airline's busiest airports and keeps the aircraft whose callsign begins NKS. Right now it scanned FLL, DFW, ORD and DTW.
This is a sample, not the whole fleet. Aircraft over oceans, between those airports, or outside volunteer receiver coverage will not appear here even though they are flying. A short list does not mean a small airline.
